Since the beginning of the Kumite Seminar, there had been a technical training session with all the Karateka in the seminar except this Thursday. On this day, Christophe Pinna had a break from the technical training to have a visit to the volcanoes national park, home of the mountain gorillas.
The journey to see mountain gorillas started with a hike from the gorilla guardians’ village. There he took off with the national park rangers who helped him through the locations of these majestic animals. While he was there, he had the pleasure of meeting the “Sabyinyo” family of gorillas. During his time there he also learned a few words in the language the park rangers use to understand the communication of gorillas.
After that day, it was the beginning of the second part of the technical training. The karate players practiced moves and techniques they learned with Mr. Pinna. With the help of one of his trainees, Mr. Pinna demonstrated the different techniques to go through. Later, just like they had before, they used groups of two to practice them. To end the night, the champion took pictures with some of the participants.
For the next two days that take the seminar to a conclusion, Mr. Pinna will also be training with children.
