Coach COREY GAINES is an American based in England whose work aims at giving back to the community by assisting students. Through NEJR Ltd (No Excuses, Just Results) NEJR LTD is an all-inclusive school support and mentoring program that helps create pathways that develop into personal and educational success for students. They provide a platform for these young people to be equipped with skills and guidance to be able to give back to their communities.
“Consistency is key” is a very significant statement to all Coach COREY’s students. By giving all students consistent guidance and assistance, they receive help through tutoring and mentorship programs. After high school, the NERJ follows up with them to know their next step including facilitating payment to standard tests, and guidance to different scholarship programs. The assistance does not stop at curricular activities, it also extends to Basketball.
Athletically, Coach COREY specializes in Basketball and gives guidance to students of all ages. He has trained young people of all ages at a low fee to facilitate their work. For the second time, he is currently visiting the SGI court and training with our young trainees. He showed them different techniques and gave them advice on how to get better.
His relocation to Rwanda gives SGI an opportunity to work towards a longer partnership. Having him at the club will not only improve the trainees’ Basketball levels but will also help them develop their character. It would be an opportunity to be interested and be practically invested into their communities to be able to give back. Apart from this second visit, his future appearance will be at the SGI rise up camp (July – August).
